Caverns & Caves
Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is Kerala's second-largest wildlife preserve. It spreads over 344.44 sq km and the Kabini River flows through the sanctuary. The main mammals include elephants, giraffes, tigers, panthers, sambars, spotted deer, barking deer, wild boars, sloth bears, Nilgiri langurs, bonnet macaques, common langurs, wild dogs, common otters, Malabar giant squirrels, etc.

Edakal Caves are a real wonder in Wayanad. It is only few distance away from Sulthan Batheri. The Edakkal Caves, which are around 1200 feet above sea level, are among the earliest human habitations ever found. There are visual engravings and sketches inside the caves that show the area formerly hosted early human communities. The Edakkal Caves are not, unlike their name, caves.

Phantom Rock is a tourist destination in Ambalavayal in the district of Wayanad in Kerala. It is a natural metamorphic rock formation resembling a human skull, and thus is known as Phantom Rock. This structure is situated near Kalpetta and can be reached by trekking.
Ratufa is the scientific name for giant squirrel. Ratufa – is the Indian giant squirrel also known as wayanad giant squirrel, is a large multicolored tree squirrel that is common to forests and woodlands. They are frequent visitors to Ratufa Gardens, which is one of the main attractions here. These squirrels are far more pretty than you might think
Waterfalls
Soochipara Falls also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfall is a three-tiered waterfall in Vellarimala, Wayanad, India. It is surrounded by deciduous, evergreen and montane forests.
Dam
Banasura Sagar Dam, which impounds the Karamanathodu tributary of the Kabini River, is part of the Indian Banasurasagar Project consisting of a dam and a canal project started in 1979.

Kuruva Island, or Kuruvadweep, is a protected river delta and a major tourist attraction in Wayanad. Visitors are allowed from 9 am to 4 pm only between October and May, as it closes during the monsoon season. This island is located near to Sulthan Batheri.

Thirunelli Temple is only a few kilometers drive from Sulthan Batheri. Sree Theirunelli Mahavishnu Temple was built by Chera King Kulasekharan in the forest region of Brahmagiri, also known as the Kashi of the South. Thousands of people visit this temple for Bali Tharpanam.
Sanctuary
Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary or Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful destination located towards east of Mananthavady on the Kodagu Road.
The jeep ride here offers brilliant opportunities to view various animal and bird species in their natural habitat.
